Girl Talk
Regina Ayars and Carol Voisin, producers of Girl Talk since April 2013, are local "girls" who decided that women and men needed some good old 60's "conscientiousness raising". Each week they bring their own brand of feminism to the airwaves. They come together each week with slightly different perspectives - Carol more alternative and edgy and Regina more traditional and data driven - but always focused on women, their achievements, and their struggles.
Regina Ayars moved to Ashland in 2002 from the Bay Area. She has been engaged in public service having served on the Housing and Human Services Commission, several boards including Options for Helping Residents of Ashland (OHRA), League of Women Voters (LWV), American Association of University Women (AAUW), Peace House and Rogue Valley Mentoring. She ran for Ashland City Council in 2012.
Carol Voisin is a retired instructor at Southern Oregon University where she taught "Ethical Thinking for the 21st Century" for 16 years. She was an Ashland City Councilor from 2008 - 2016.She serves on local non-profit boards and remains deeply involved in politics. She is one of the editors of The Ashland Chronicle.com, a news website.
