Wednesday morning at 9 the Brain Labor Report feature’s Blues Singer Norman Sylvester (dubbed the “Boogie Cat”) whose band is considered one of the best loved Rhythm & Blues bands in the N.W. with their extensive songbook & danceable grooves.
Norman Sylvester was inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2012, received the Cascade Blues Association “Life Time Achievement” in 2014 and “Back what you believe in” Award for his work on the Universal Healthcare campaign in our Country 2011-2018. The band was also named “Best R&B Band” 2015 & 2017 awards.
The Norman Sylvester Band is regularly called upon to play community fundraisers & benefits for those in need. The “Healing the Healthcare Blues” festival is Norman’s response to seeing friends & family suffer from our current Healthcare systems failures. He believes “Healthcare is a human right”!
