Win a Week in Hawaii or on the Oregon Coast

You might be wondering — how is this small, all-volunteer, low-budget community radio station able to offer two luxury week-long vacations as “super-premiums” to thank donors? A few years ago, a donor gifted KSKQ a large number of trade credits through a barter network called ITEX. We recently discovered we could use those credits toward vacation lodging that could, in turn, generate cash for the station — so with the help of an ITEX rep, we lined up two week-long stays at coastal resorts for this year’s Fall Pledge Drive.

Anyone who gives $500 or more to the station during October 2026 is automatically entered. Winners will be announced November 1st.

What you could win

First premium: seven nights in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath deluxe suite with full kitchen and lanai, for up to 6 people, at the Club Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort on the west coast of Kona Island, Hawaii. Reserved for specific dates — arrive April 17, depart April 24, 2027. Value: $3,000. Airfare is not included, and the winner should plan to book travel at least 30 days out for the best fares.

Second premium: a 7-night stay at WorldMark Gleneden on the Oregon coast, north of Lincoln City. Check-in May 8, check-out May 15, 2027. One bedroom, one bath, full kitchen, king bed in the master and a queen murphy bed in the living area — holds up to 4 guests. Value: $1,000.

How to enter

Make a tax-deductible donation of $500 or more, any of these ways:

• Donate by credit card at kskq.org
• Mail a check to KSKQ Community Radio, 1661 Hwy 99N, Box 5, Ashland, OR 97520 — mail early enough to arrive by October 31st

The drawing

Winners are chosen by a neutral third party at the KSKQ studio at 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2026. The drawing airs live, and winners are notified by phone — you don’t need to be present to win.

Good to know

Winners are put in touch with the ITEX representative, who transfers the reservation to them directly. Your donation remains fully tax-deductible, since KSKQ is a program of the Multicultural Association of Southern Oregon, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — though the value of the prize itself is treated as taxable income, same as any raffle prize.
